Customer Question

I have an original Betsy McCall and her cousin Linda. Betsy also has several outfits--a blue evening gown, green skirt and top, pink checked dress, and her sunsuit. I also have extra panties, and her black strap shoes. Any idea what they are worth?

Hi,

The value of your Betsy McCall and cousin Linda dolls with outfits depend on the maker and if you still have the original box.

Here is a link for you to one Betsy McCall doll that sold for $1250 from 1960:

Here is a 1978 doll in original packaging by Young Years a Division of Larami Corporation that sold for $2605.75:

Here is a link for you to the various Betsy McCall versions by different makers. You can let me know which you have and I can help further narrow down the value for you:

Thanks for your help. Just a little more info on the Betsy doll. She is probably from 1960 or 61 and I don't have a box. My aunt gave me Linda so I'll have to check with her for more info on her.

Hi,

Thank you for narrowing down the date. Without an original box the sales values are different. In general, at auction, a Betsy McCall and Cousin Linda doll can sell for a high average of $350 - $400, with the outfits she can reach up to $500. Cousin Linda can sell for $175 - $300.
