Tyler,Yesterday evening at around 6:30 p.m., I turned off the refrigerator and proceeded to remove the plate in the freezer to view the evaporator coil. It took me approximately 15-20 minutes to remove the plate. The coil had no frost pattern on it; one could easily see the silver evaporator coil in its entirety. At that point, I turn on the refrigerator and re-set the freezer temp control to maximum. This morning at approximately 6:00 a.m., I opened the freezer and the temperature was approximately 30 degrees Fah. The coils were uniformly frosted over with what appeared to be very tiny white speckles. There was no thick clear formation of ice; for that matter no clear ice built-up. The evaporator coil has a front set of coils and a rear set of coils; and the front set of coils had thicker white speckling that the rear one. I will check the frosting pattern, again this evening.Also, I am not sure if when you are saying frosting you meant frosting like a glass with a cold beverage with a frosting film on the outside. What I saw was a built-up of tiny white flakes or speckles in a uniform pattern.Also, no patches of frosting were visible, meaning no silver patches and frosting patches were visible.Does this already tell you something concerning the problem? TylerI thought about that this morning and I placed the plate back; but, I did not screw it back in place. Based on your question, maybe it would be better for me to screw the plate back in place tonight and check the frosting early in the morning or tomorrow night

Tyler, last night at approximately 6:30 p.m., the freezer was at 15 degrees Fah and the Fridge was at 55 degrees. This morning at 6:00 a.m., the freezer was at 30 degrees and the fridge at 58 degrees. I attaching pictures of the condenser coil for last night and this morning. I see a +Add files button; but, it doesn't do anything when I hit it to add the pictures. How do add the pictures to this email?

Tyler, One more time. Thursday night after speaking with you, I check fridge and freezer and both were very warm. I unplugged the unit and went behind to check out the fan. What I quickly saw was that the vent on the panel that protects the bottom area was badly constructed with dust/debris; I believe that when I blew out the bottom condenser coils, I pushed dust/debris onto the vent openings. I clean out the rear and unclogged the vent and after approximately 25 minutes, I plugged the unit back on. By Friday morning the Freezer temp was at -10 degrees Fah. and the Fridge was at 45 degrees (at this point, the Freezer and Fridge were at coldest setting). I then adjusted the Freezer setting to 3/4 coldest and left the Fridge setting at coldest setting. Late last night and this morning the Freezer temp was at 0 degrees and the Fridge was at 50 degrees. Also, I did remove the Freezer Panel that covers the Silver coils and in all occasions, the silver was frosted (not heavily frosted).So, with this new info, what does your expertise tell you?

I will do as you say. If it doesn't work then replace the thermostat. I imagine that if replacing the thermostat does not work then the problem is probably a lot more.1. Just to be clear, you are saying the refrigerator thermostat not the "defrost timer"?
2. Let me ask you should I also try to unplug the unit for 24 hours and assure that the air passages are not frosted over?
3. I've read that the Defrost Timer is a common problem for this situation. I do not believe that this is my problem because the coils do defrost.Please respond to some of my thoughts and concerns and we will let it go at that. thanks.
