Hello, I have a GE Spectra range. The front left burner stopped working. Is there a way to fix it?

Contractor's Assistant: Can you guesstimate how old your GE is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?

I'm not sure on either. The stove just says "spectra" across the middle of the control knobs Im guessing its at least 7 years old

Contractor's Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

If its possible

Contractor's Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best?

If the burner stopped working, either the burner itself failed, or the switch which the knob is attached to failed and isn't sending power to the burner. To know which failed, you'd need to remove the control panel, unplug the oven, and swap the front left burner switch with a different burner switch from a different similar burner. Re-apply power and see if the front left burner works and if not, then replace the burner. If swapping the switch does work, the burner switch would need to be replaced.
