Hello sir, I have a client with a Jenn Air gas range, Model JGS1450DB0.
He keeps getting the F8E0 error code, I've replaced the blower which comes with the hall sensor twice and I've replaced the control board yet the error persists, any idea?

Thank you.

  • After installing the new motors, are you clearing the fault code from the memory?
  • Is the fan coming on at all?

I clear the error code by going into diagnostic mode. There’s a engineering mode where one can test each function of the oven and the blower activates in this mode. Also, when in regular bake function I see the blower activate, then about 15-30 sec later the error code returns.
Appliance Technician: Rusty S, Home Appliance Technician replied 6 months ago

So if the blower is new as well as the control that interprets the signal from the sensor, that only leaves the harness between the two as suspect.

but I checked the continuity of the 3 wire harness and that checks out ok. There isn’t any other component in this unit that could be responsible for the blower control?
Appliance Technician: Rusty S, Home Appliance Technician replied 6 months ago

It may show continuity but the resistance may change as it carries the signal from the Hall Sensor, like if it is pinched or a connector has issues. The sensor simply sends a message to the control, so either the control is not getting the right signal or the control is faulty. You have replaced the control and the sensor so to have one of the new parts be faulty in the exact same way would be very unlikely.
