I have a tt with a n611, the fridge works perfectly on gas

Customer Question

I have a tt with a n611, the fridge works perfectly on gas IF I AM NOT PLUGGED INTO SHORE POWER if plugged in it won't work on gas or electric. I get a 5 light code. I bought a new circut board and have tried resetting it, no luck. I unplugged the trailer and the fridge and ran an extension cord to the fridge but still get the code. I am begening to think my converter is bad?
JA: Have you tried power cycling the appliance -- unplugging it and leaving it off for a few hours?
Customer: yes , for days no luck
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If I am able, I am a fair mechanic type person
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I just can't understand why it only sends the code and won't work on gas or electric when plugged into shore power. I unplugged the fridge and thought I would just run it on gas and still have air conditioning but that doesn't work either, same problem and code?

The 5 flash code either the heater is bad or the converter is bad. Did you check the electric heating element?
