Customer Question

The code I got was CL, then turning the knob I got E1 with the Cycle Complete light on and F5 with 4 lights on which are the Sensing, Prewash/Soak, Rinse, and Cycle Complete.
JA: Have you tried power cycling the appliance -- unplugging it and leaving it off for a few hours?
Customer: No I have not tried that yet.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes, I have already replaced parts on the paired dryer which is only about a year and half new.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I just need to know what the codes indicate the problem(s) is (are).

Do you have a model number so I can better assist you and see what the errors mean?

Model number is *****

I would rather receive the information over the internet.

OK perfect. So the CL just means the cycle is complete. The F5 E1 means that your door latch isn't working properly. So it sounds like your door latch is faulty if your washer won't run at all.

The washes sounds like a motor tries to start then there is a high screeching sound and then stops screeching. I pressed the Start/Pause button.

I'm not sure what that would be but it wouldn't be related to the F5 E1 error so I'll opt out.
