I have had a whirlpool clothes dryer for about 10 years. It stopped working and I called a repairman. The problem was a blown thermal fuse which he replaced. He also told me to clean out the 4" exhaust line which I did, although it didn't have too much lint in it. I was able to do 2 or 3 loads after this and the dryer stopped again. This time I bought a thermal fuse myself and installed it and the dryer worked again but only for 2 loads and it stopped again. I feel the fuse blew again. is there something else that may be causing this other than the vent pipe?

Customer: I am trying to determine if I would be better off buying a new dryer as the repair the first time was $125.
