Maytag mdb4641aws...grinding noise (loud at times). I tried

Customer Question

maytag mdb4641aws...grinding noise (loud at times). I tried opening lower assembly and found a few small fruit pits. maybe this is the problem. While re-assembling I've come across a spring looking round clip and can,t get a place for it. it is bent looking (two metal layers of the two layer spring are not concentric). Is it bent, or does it come this way? is there a schematic/manual for this assembly?
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Maytag is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: mdb4621awso maybe 5 years?
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: hopefully

were you able to look at the diagram of parts I provided you?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Gnarly. I did look at p.3. The assembly starts WAY after the afore-mentioned parts. Just the last stuff...

Expert:  Webb-Guy replied 10 months ago.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
There is a 1"dia, 2 coil spring and it looks sprung out
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Door spring?? Two coils. The lower of two coils is off line. Bent or ok?
Expert:  Webb-Guy replied 10 months ago.

I am sorry I am having a hard time understanding what you are talking about? The spring I just sent is it the one you are referring to?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No the little piece is part of the lower central mechanism. In under the rotating sprayer
Expert:  Webb-Guy replied 10 months ago.

Swami gone... Guru here?
Expert:  Appliance Guru replied 10 months ago.

Yes I am here, it makes a grinding noise all the time correct and how far have you taken it apart? All the way down to the metal chop blade>?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No chop blades, though just past some plastic impeller. I would call this spot the top3-4 layers
Expert:  Appliance Guru replied 10 months ago.

OK you need to remove the rest to get down to the lower chopper can you do that?
