Customer Question

We have no power to our Advantium 120 Microwave oven. The circuit breaker works but no power. Is there a reset button. This microwave was purchased by previous owner in 2009 and has had very limited use - seasonal occupancy by one owner. Would this appliance burnout in 7 years with limited use? Thank you!
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of the appliance? And has it done this before?
Customer: Model #SCA1001KSS02, serial #FS900201K. We have never had this problem. Appliance worked in July when we were here for a week (in Fort Lauderdale) and when guests arrived November 2, microwave did not work
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes, if it is only a reset button unless we cannot get to it.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: no

Hello and welcome to just answer my name is ***** ***** I will be the one to assist you. It is a possibility there could have been a power surge that could have blown the fuse or the board or magnetron. All of which would cause it not to power on. In order to check these things out you will need to take the unit out and get to the back of the unit.

Now working with a microwave can be a dangerous job so You must be very careful when doing anything. Just because its unplugged does not mean it does not have live voltage. You will need to wait up to at least 10 mins before starting testing.
