Customer Question

How can I remove a burned out oven light? My adult son is trying to pull out the old light and it doesn't budge. Is there a video of how to do it?
JA: What's the make and model of your oven? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Amana Model #AER 5515QAW Bought 7/2004
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I thought we could do it, but I'm not sure now. My son tried to pull it out but it didn't budge. We have the replacement one here.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: When I ordered the new bulb, the woman taking my order said there was a video We could look at to figure it out. Does that video exist?

this model has just a standard screw in light bulb .

It just turns counter clock wise to be removed.

Now it is possible that with the heat of the oven it has expanded and is tight but it still has to unscrew like a regular lamp light bulb .

Try using a towel or dish cloth to get extra grip on the bulb .

now I`m assuming that he already has the light bulb cover removed correct?
