Customer: It's a Panasonic builtin, installed approx. 1988 - 1999 - can't locate a model number. It is surrounded by a fitting kit.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Going on twice now in two days I've gone through an entire and shutddown/canel and re-start many, many times This time it just won't re-boot
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No thanks. Just want to get it working.

Does the start button beep at all when pressed or just not responsive at all?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
No, does not respond at all
Expert:  Kelly replied 11 months ago.

Okay, unplug the microwave, let's try something. Turn off the power to the appliance. Use a hair dryer to heat the panel up until very warm while rubbing firmly over each of the buttons. Often times, this will restore operation. Be sure to get the panel very warm but not hot enough to damage the plastic. Any change?
