We had to retrieve a small item that had gotten sucked down

Customer Question

We had to retrieve a small item that had gotten sucked down the drain line from the detergent/softener compartment in a Whirlpool Duet front-load washer. In order to get to it, we had to remove the boot. My husband can't seem to get to the rear set screw to tighten it back up when putting the boot back in. What's the best way to get to that set screw?

Please post model number.

I wish you hadn't asked me that, Jamie. The washer isn't here at my home. It's at one of our rental properties. I guess I'll have to go there, get the model number, and then try asking again. I should have thought of that. Thank you for reminding me.
