I have the sharperblade trimmer + edger model #Sb601E. I don't know how to connect it to the extention cord with white plastic piece covering it.

The cord should fit within the plastic protective shield. Are you using a standard extension cord?

it's the standard extention cord I used with my string weed whacker.

Is the plastic shroud deformed or anything because it should not be an issue getting the cord in there. Can you post a picture?

It is covering the part that the plug should go into.

The cover should pull off to expose the plug terminals.
