OK so do you notice anything that is not running on the unit? Any funny noises anything that is happening besides freezing?

Since you said that nothing is frozen around the coils or evaporator and the unit is running correctly the only other thing I can think of would be something to do with the compressor so I am going to open this up to other experts to see if they may have another idea.

hello, can you hear the fan running when the door is open?also do you know if the compressor at the rear of the freezer is running?should be warm and vibrating ..its the black dome ,thx randy
