My maytag HE washer takes way too to go through the cycles.

Customer Question

HI, my maytag HE washer takes way too long to go through the cycles. Sensing takes 30 minutes. After the clothes are washed, they are still sopping wet. I am clueless.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Maytag is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: It is a Centennial. We bought it new 3 yrs. ago
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If it is fairly simple, yes.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No. This machine has been working just fine until a few days ago.

Can you hear the unit agitate when it starts after filling?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
No, and when it is on spin cycle, I hear no sound.
Expert:  Chas replied 11 months ago.

This is caused by a bad actuator, very easy to replace, if you click on the blue link below you can order this part, there is also a video on the order page showing how to replace it..
