Customer Question

I have a LG WM2642HW.
I have a spin problem.
I ran the diagnostics based on a what I read on how to run the diagnostics, and everything seems to work fine. I didn't see error codes, just numbers. according to readout it spun pass 100. Although I do hear what sounds like grinding or vibration at some speeds for short periods but it's not the whole time.
But when running a load it won't spin.

When you turn the unit to wash a normal cycle and you just let it run, are you saying no error ever pops up naturally? What happens exactly? Does the timer count down like normal even though the tub won't spin? Does the basket go back and forth? Does the washer shut off early? etc.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I don't recall any error showing up. And of course my wife runs the washer 98% of the time.
Unfortunately I'm not at home to test as we text.
As best I can remember there's no movement to the tub. But I'd need to verify when I get home this evening.
I did remove the back cover. I saw a single bolt that I thought could have loosened up. I did try to tighten it.

Alright well just run the washer when you get home so we're not making poor assumptions leading to an incorrect diagnosis. Just let the washer run from the beginning and see what it does during the spin cycle and let it run. let me know what happens when you can.

I ran a speed wash, 32 minutes cycle.
empty, not cloths
it started filling up with water and agitating, both directions.
at 12 it drained and a slowish spin
then faster spin
at 10 spin and drain pump
and then continued to speed up the spin and the drain pump started and stopped several times for the next 8 minutes.
no noises out of the ordinary.

After the empty wash cycles finished I started it again with two table cloths in it.
When it tried to agitate the tub would turn about 1/8 of a turn but no further.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Also, when it was empty I think the spinning got up to full speed.

I need to hear back on what's wrong with my washing machine.
