I have a Maytag Bravo's quiet series 300 that isn't drying,

Customer Question

I have a Maytag Bravo's quiet series 300 that isn't drying, so I got out my meter to do some troubleshooting and found a sensor on the exhaust with a #x13a r60-2.6 k that has no continuity across it. Is this my issue? What does this sensor do?
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Maytag is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: MGDB400VQ0
I think it is around 6 years old.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes if possible.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Only issue is dryer not heating.

The part you tested is the thermistor, it is an electronic thermostat that is not tested by measuring continuity.

Did you test the element for continuity?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I am doing this without a manual so where is the element?
Expert:  Kelly replied 11 months ago.

Do you have the machine apart?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
If I am going to need to pay more for help then maybe I will just get a tech to come fix it. Thanks but no thanks.

The igniter element is number 4 in the diagram below. Does it show open or continuity?

The phone call offer is an auto offer, you are not required to accept it. I have no control over that, it auto posts for your review.

I have continuity on both.
Expert:  Kelly replied 11 months ago.

Hmm, that is odd. So still no heat in the timed cycle now, either?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I would need to put the dryer back together to test and hook the gas back up to it. I will clean it all out and put it together and test.
Can I respond back later?
Expert:  Kelly replied 11 months ago.

Of course, just reply when you can. Thank you.
