My front load Amana washer always has to be opened and the

Customer Question

My front load Amana washer always has to be opened and the load rearranged , this usually happens with 17 min left on timer. the off balance alarm goes off , there isn't a lot of water in the washer and it looks like the wash cycle water, not rinse water. Sometimes it takes two times of rearranging before load finishes. Could not enough water going into the washer cause this?
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Amana is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: The washer is probably five yrs old. Model number, I'm will have to go and see if I can't find it on the washer.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: My son is good at this type of things.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: On lighter loads it works fine, it is just heavier loads. A set of queen size sheets no problem.

Not enough water would not cause an out of balance spin, as the unit begins to do a spin the washer should be draining the water out anyway.

ok if it works fine on lighter loads

Then it is not an issue with the machine r,it is a issue with the way it is being loaded.

The washer can be out of balance with just one item being washed .

When washing make sure all the items in that load are like items(like items meaning) they weight approx the same when wet.

So towels with towels ,jeans with jeans ETC

Doe you sort the clothing to be washed in this manner?
