Customer Question

Have an american crown six burner; one of the oven pilots is out and we can't seem to get it relighted.
JA: What's the make and model of your oven? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: American Crown; six burners; probably 70's; a vintage stove
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Have to figure out how difficult it would be
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: The other oven and burners all work; there is a gas cut-off button for the oven which I've set; but it won't light either on or off.

There's no button down by the pilot to switch that I can find; does one turn on the oven gas and then try to light it -- sounds a bit precarious...

If the pilot will not light, it is either plugged or there is an issue with the thermostat.

May I please have your model number so I am able to provide you with accurate, model specific information?
