JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Whirlpool is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?

JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If I can. If it's just a matter of adjusting the temperature

If the freezer is frosting up, make sure the door is closing all the way and the door seal is sealing up all the way around. If that all checks good then raise the temperature in the freezer. To raise the temperature, press and hold the Temperature button for 3 seconds. The options for adjusting the temperature will show up on the display along the bottom. The first temperature shown is for the refrigerator section. Set this to 37 degrees. After the refrigerator is set, press the TEMPERATURE button again and adjust the freezer so its somewhere between 0 and 2 degrees (do not go negative). Press LOCK to raise the set point, or press ACCELER-ICE to lower the set point.

When you have finished viewing (and adjusting if desired) both the refrigerator and freezer set points, press RESET FILTER to save the settings.
