Customer Question

I have a refrigerator that won't get down any lower than around 50 degrees F. I cleaned off the coils, which were really dirty, but still no go. Seems like the compressor runs. The temp control is set to the coldest position. I guess there must be a thermostat or some kind of control - should I check that? Also, is there a circ fan or something that might be behind it? Any ideas are appreciated.Best Regards,Jeff

If the compressor is running, it is likely either low on refrigerant or there is an air flow issue.

  1. Can you hear a fan running in the freezer section?
  2. Can you see any frost on the back wall inside the freezer?
  3. May I please have your model number so I am able to provide you with accurate, model specific information?
