JA: What's the brand and model number of your appliance? How old is it?
Customer: true model number gdm-26
JA: What are all the symptoms of the problem (error codes, flashing lights, etc.)?
Customer: the only thing that turns on is the fan. I don't hear anything else clicking or trying to turn on. but the fan works like a champ
JA: What happened just before this problem started? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: nothing happened. just came in one morning and it was warm inside. I cleaned off the thing in front of the compressor already.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok. Its been plugged in for a while now. No clicking. Compressor is not hot
Expert:  ApplianceMAN replied 1 year ago.
Sorry I got busy and forgot about ya, alright so no clicking, so do you have a voltage meter ?Need to.see if we're getting power to compressor ?If not do a visible look kill power to it and pop little black cover off. Side of compressor take a visible look for broken wire or something of that nature. If you have a ohm voltage meter then we need to check the start components with power off for.ohm.and for power on we need to check if we're getting power.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

After checking things i ordered a new capacitor. I hope that does it
Expert:  ApplianceMAN replied 1 year ago.
Did you check to make sure power is getting to compressor ?
Expert:  ApplianceMAN replied 1 year ago.
It's really 4 things.Bad compressor not likely.
Capicator again not likely but possible.
Relay/overload possible.
Thermostat not letting 120 to compressor most likely cause
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK. O got the start capacitor on order which was cheap so that doesn't do it I will check the thermostat
Expert:  ApplianceMAN replied 1 year ago.
