I have a GE CAFE counter depth French door refrigerator

Customer Question

I have a GE CAFE counter depth French door refrigerator model CFCP1NIXB SS manufactured in 2008. Last few days the freezer won't get colder than 18 degrees. Fridge works fine. I have cleaned the coils and there if no frost inside the freezer.....any ideas?

The first thing you'll need to do is pull everything out of the freezer and remove the back panel inside the freezer. Look at the silver evaporator coils behind this panel and are they packed with frost, lightly frosted from top to bottom, some frost on top but not on bottom, no frost at all, etc... ? Also, is the fan above the coils running?

I hear a fan running...will take me some time to get everything out to pull out the panel
