Hi, welcome to Just Answer. Sorry to hear you are having appliance trouble, I know how frustrating that can be! My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you!

  • The nf means NO FILL. The control is not able to see water entering the machine. Since this happens at the start of the rinse cycle, the issue is likely with the cold water inlet valve. Can you remove the cold hose from the valve and see if its screen is plugged (in the valve)?

Excellent, thank you!

We checked the screen and there were some pebbles in it but we also noticed that the cold water valve was turned off (DUH!!) so we're going to turn it back on, reconnect the hose and do a trial wash. Thanks for your help.
