Can you give me a little more detail as to what you are doing and about the cabinets? Are the cabinets wood, stained, painted, etc? Are the cabinet surfaces supposed to be black or??

Gaggenau black cabinets. Don't want to stain them with cleaning materials, but how do I get grease/bacteria off?

So the only thing that is really recommended by the manufacture is baking soda and water. Mix it into a paste and then use a tooth brush or towel to scrub it down to clean them. Other than that, I've found that Magic Eraser works fairly well and doesn't usually affect the finish of things other than Stainless Steel.
