Customer Question

I went through the code and got 8 and then 4 flashes of the clean light. Can you tell me what that means?
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: It started today. The clean light comes on, we close the door and then it does not run the cycle
JA: Have you tried power cycling the appliance -- unplugging it and leaving it off for a few hours?
Customer: I turner the circuit breaker off for a few minutes. You think it needs longer?
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes, it possible
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I tried the diagnostic code of 123, 123, 123 and closed the door. The clean button flashed 8 times and then 4 times
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Appliance Technician about your situation and then connect you two.

ok one second

Expert:  Ezekiel replied 1 year ago.

The control is designed to stop the cycle and not allow any further cycles if it suspects a faulty heater. Clean LED blinks 7 times and repeats and disables the start resume key until cleared

Expert:  Ezekiel replied 1 year ago.

press "Normal wash, heated dry, Normal wash, heated dry, Normal wash, heated dry, Normal wash, heated dry, Normal wash, heated dry"

But that only works if the control board is bad to begin with. It also doesn't matter if the door is open or closed.

Expert:  Ezekiel replied 1 year ago.

try that sequence and let me know it should work

Expert:  Ezekiel replied 1 year ago.

yes I did that indicates either a shorted heater or a bad control board we are trying to reset it first the most common is the control that goes bad

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok, I will reboot or turn the circuit off and see if it resets
Expert:  Ezekiel replied 1 year ago.
