Since it has issues responding to the mode button, the problem is likely related to the electronic control. Disconnect all power, including 12 volt supply, to the unit for at least an hour to reset the electronics. Let me know if anything changes when powered back up, please.
Thank you! Hopefully it will reset and resume normal operation.
Still no response from the mode button?
Are you seeing any fault codes being displayed at all, like AC LO or dc LO?
Let's see if it will go into a diagnostic function.
To put the refrigerator control into the diagnostic display mode, push the TEMP SET and MODE buttons at the same time and hold them for five seconds. “1”, which means diagnostic screen #1, will appear for two seconds on the left display.
Does that happen?
Okay, so the issue is with the main control if it will not go into a diagnostic cycle.
Please allow me just a few minutes to prepare some information for you, thank you!
The board for the 841 series is below.
I am not sure that is the board you need, I want to verify by your serial number. can you post that number?
That appears to be the correct one, thank you!
Front board? Yes, a user interface control, the one that is behind the buttons.
They typically do not fail. The parts for the n841 are at the link below. See page 6, item 8.
Hmm, can you post a picture?
I think that gets updated with that new kit but I am not 100% certain. I don't want to give you the wrong information so I am going to open your question back up for others in case someone knows for certain.
