I have aGX2FHDXVY Whirlpool refrigator that has ice

Customer Question

I have aGX2FHDXVY Whirlpool refrigator that has ice collecting in the bottom of the freezer. We thawed the ice twice in two weeks so that does not seem to fix the problem. The seal seem tight and the drawer has not been left open. I think the drain is plugged but I don't know where it is or that it exists

Hello, this is Dave and I'm happy to help. Your defrost drain is frozen because the drain grommet in the back is clogged. The have a new design. I can give you directions if you feel you can pull out the refrigerator and remove the bottom cover. The freezer will also need to be emptied. Let me know.
