My daughter left a necklace in her clothes which got stuck

Customer Question

My daughter left a necklace in her clothes which got stuck in between the two plastic pieces in the bottom of our op-loading high efficiency low-water washer. if I take the button plastic lid off of the center bolt and use a ratchet to unscrew that will that release the middle plastic piece so I can get the necklace out and so it does not get into the machine below?

Good morning! Yes, that is exactly what you need to do. Remove the center cap by just prying and then remove the bolt below it. The entire bottom wash plate will then pull up so you can move it out of your way and hopefully retrieve the necklace if it hasn't flushed out the drain already. We are on the honor system here.
