I have a GE gas dryer model DCVH515GFOWW That usually only heats on dewrinkle and if clothes like towels that are extremely wet it won't heat at all. The igniter works like it should cycling every so often turning orange hot.

If the igniter comes on and the flame sensor activates, you should hear a click from the gas valve opening. If that's not happening you have a bad coil. GE sells the coils separately, but they can be bought as a set for less. Part number #279834

There is a click every time, I thought it was the igniter making the click.

There are 2 coils, if either of them fail, the gas valve won't open and there is no ignition. When the flame sensor cools, it will try to re-ignite and cycle again.
