I have a Kitchen Aid Stand mixer. It has been packed in a box

Customer Question

I have a Kitchen Aid Stand mixer. It has been packed in a box for awhile. When I unpacked the mixer it was laying on it's side and oil (or something) had dripped from it.
Now I am afraid to use. Is it safe to us, or would the motor burn up?

OK grease is used in the gearbox which may have seeped slightly. I would run the appliance and take note of the noise, if its excessive then get a repairman to have a look. there is no grease or oil used in the motor part.
