I purchased a Whirlpool Conquest Refrigerator in May 2008.

Customer Question

I purchased a Whirlpool Conquest Refrigerator in May 2008. The model number is ***** The compressor tries to engage for about 3 seconds and stops. I cleaned the coils (the best I could) a few months ago. The fan circulates air. The frozen food is thawing out. Can this be repaired or is it time to replace?

It sounds like a bad relay/overload. It's a common repair. It's part number W10189190 and can be purchased/ordered at any appliance parts store or online.
