so if you are saying that the refrigerator compartment is freezing everything, that units cooling system is controlled digitally and has a termistor (temp sensor) that sends back resistances to the computer board based on temps in the refrigerator when it fails to send the proper readings to the board the temps get out of whack and it needs to be replaced:
