3 oven natural gas standard vent (flue) AGA has a yellow

Customer Question

3 oven natural gas standard vent (flue) AGA has a yellow flame
Our 8 year old, 3 oven natural gas AGA was turned off recently and, after we tuned it back on, has a flame that is about 1/2 blue and 1/2 yellow. The nearby CO alarm has not gone off.
Is there a way to adjust the regulator to decrease the amount of gas entering the burner, or does this flame spell an all-new burner for us?
No problems staying lit or at temperature, flue is drawing well, nothing wrong but the color of the flame.

Is the burner flame the same on all burners in the appliance? Thank you.

Hello John,
Thank you for your response.
The AGA is an unusual appliance and only has one burner. I need someone familiar with these appliances, as in an AGA technician, to answer my question.

I know the AGA is a soap stone oven. I've repaired gas operated commercial cooking appliances, as a factory authorized technician for over 25 years. Good luck with your search.
