Hi Kelly, We purchased a KitchenAid combination wall oven/microwave in 2008 - Model KEMS378(SSS00). Serial #XW1302083. After using the self cleaning feature (which worked well) the oven no longer heats up. When selecting to bake/broil or preheat the oven etc, only convection fan works - no heating begins at all. The microwave unit above works fine and we have turned and restarted the power (just to check if that was the problem) but it has not resolved the issue. I read through some of the manuals and checked for any error codes. The oven showed an error code of 'F6E0' which the manual says is 'lost communications'. I have called AHS for service, but would like to know what you feel is the problem and what advice you can give me so that this problem is fixed quickly? I have company coming this week and can't be waiting for parts etc. Thanks!

The self cleaning cycle gets to about 875* F and if there is any lack of air flow, it will cause the thermal fuse to open, interrupting power to all of the heating elements. I suspect this is what has happened with your oven. The thermal fuse is mounted by the cooling fan and is shown as number 28 in the diagram at the link below.


I would make sure they clean the cooling fan or replace it and, of course, replace the thermal fuse. The fuse is part number(###) ###-####and the fan is(###) ###-#### ***** would suggest you either order the fuse yourself or call them to have them bring one or you will be waiting for it to be ordered,

As for the F6 E0 error, that is a known issue on these and is caused by connection issues, in most cases. See attached page.
