Hello from JA
My name is Woody.
I will be glad to assist you today.
I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 35 Years,
and have over 100,000 in home repairs and over 80,000 internet repairs under my belt.

I`m sorry to say but your not going to be able to do much to this dishwasher ,with it`s age the manufacture not longer supports it with replacement parts any longer.

By law manufactures only have to supply replacement appliance repair parts for only 7 years .

The first thing I would check is the outlet that it plugs into , then the door switches inside the door , then it goes to the timer , the door switch and the timer are both no longer available as replacement parts.

I know this is not what you wanted to hear but them again the unit is 40 years old.

If you have any questions just reply back to me.
