Customer Question

I have a GE front loading washing machine (model #wsxh208f1ww) that I just replaced the door lock mechanism, making all three electrical connections as they were removed. The door locks any cycle can be initiated, however, the tube will not fill. Does the control module need to be reset, if so how? Did I miss something so that the water control valve is not working?
Thanks you any help would be appreciated. Dave, Denver CO

Hello from JA
My name is Woody.
I will be glad to assist you today.
I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 35 Years,
and have over 100,000 in home repairs and over 80,000 internet repairs under my belt.

I assume that you have unplugged the unit for more then 5 minutes to reboot the control board?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It was unplugged during installation of the door lock mechanism but I will unplug and leave it unplugged for at least five minutes. Will get back to you after doing so.

Do you still need assistance on your question?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thanks Woody, I diagnosed the problem as a short in the control module. The part cost over $400 so I decided to replace the washer seeing that it was ten years old. Regards Dave
