Hello, this is Dave and I'm happy to help you. It would be helpful to know if the old bulb was bad. Do you still have the bulb?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I do. I tested the bulb and it works fine.

Are you there?

Yes, I was looking at the wiring diagram. The circuit only goes through the light switch. Does the switch move in and out?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I do not know where the switch is located in the freezer. Please let me know and I will test it?

Let me check.

It is in the center top where the door can press it in.

the switch in the upper compartment of the refrigerator works fine and I have light there. It is only the freezer area in the lower drawer that has no light.
Expert:  Appliance Tech Dave replied 1 year ago.

Right, have you found the switch button in the top of the freezer ceiling near the front?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will look now.

I think I solved the problem. The switch was frozen shut. I chipped the ice away and the light came on.

Great. Glad to help. Need anything else?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That brings up another problem. The ice maker seems to make a glaze of ice over the ice in the bin. I have pulled up the arm so it does not make ice. What do you think is the problem with that?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Are you still there?
Expert:  Appliance Tech Dave replied 1 year ago.

Are you seeing icicles dripping off the icemaker? Do the icecube look okay?
