Need Appliance Repair Help? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
Hello and thanks for using this service, if you have been waiting do not worry or get upset I am just one of the techs on here and I try to get to as many customers as I can and I just picked up your question now. Please give me time to respond sometimes I get your replies late so there may be a delay in my response.
So the unit is getting too cold it would seem, what are the actual temps in the unit?
Where is the unit freezing exactly?
If it is only 28 or so in the freezer and colder in the refrigerator you have a freon issue, the unit is likely very low on freon. You would need the unit recharged to repair the issue.
We are on the honor system for our time, all I ask is please rate my service using the STAR RATING SYSTEM on your page before you leave. If you are not happy with the service please let me know before leaving a negative rating. This is the only way I am paid or credited through the site for my time. This will also allow you to get directly back to me for FREE follow up questions and tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks
OK then you would need to replace the damper assembly in the refrigerator it is stuck open and not closing causing this issue.

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! I am not sure you need the damper. If it was staying open, you would notice freezing more towards the bottom. There is actually a Service Pointer out for the problem you are having. I have attached it and suspect that is your trouble, not the damper.
