I have Maytag quiet series 300 that has a continual problem

Customer Question

I have Maytag quiet series 300 that has a continual problem with sandy residue left on the dishes and glassware. I have tried using a descaler many times as well bleach but it continues to be an issue. I am now washing dishes etc by hand. I am disgusted with this product and I have never had a dishwasher do this.

This is an older model of the Maytag, about 10 years old, Does the motor sound normal to you when it is running?

I got stuck with a crappy machine. Do you have a fix for my problem?

Do you pre rinse your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher?

Part of your problem is pre rinsing the dishes, you need to clean them but not rinse them, the other is most likely you are using to much detergent and causing the gritty substance you are feeling, I would cut back on the detergent by 50% and go from that point..

All I ask of you is to please rate me with one of the top 3 ratings. If there is anything else I can help you with today just let me know. You can continue asking questions for as long as you like even after you rate me. Tips are welcome if I have helped you a lot, however they are not mandatory
