Yesterday my washer was not extracting the water very well

Customer Question

Yesterday my washer was not extracting the water very well so I put some of the wet clothes in the dryer. Water started leaking out of the dryer. It started at first but then I smelled a burning smell and today it will not even act like it wants to start.

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! If water leaked onto the thermal fuse, it likely shorted it out. Do you hear any noise at all, like humming or buzzing?
