I own a three-year old Maytag washer, Model number

Customer Question

HI - I own a three-year old Maytag washer, Model number MVWB950YW, and during any one of the several spin cycles during the washing process, it make a "clacking" noise that never happened before. Since the motor is directly under the tub, would the motor be coming loose? and how do I tighten it?

Hello from JA
My name is Woody.
I will be glad to assist you today.
I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 35 Years,
and have over 100,000 in home repairs and over 80,000 internet repairs under my belt.

Does the washer door this with every load?

If so does it do it if you run the unit with out any clothes in the washer and just run it empty?

The motor does have a bolt in the center of the motor you can see if the bolt is loose or not.

Let me know what you find
