How do I remove the plastic drive gear on my ge compactor? The nut is very tight and will not come loose.

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! That locking nut is sealed in place with Loctite and torqued on. It will be very difficult to remove. It must be torqued when replacing it, too. Torque is 65 fl lbs and it must be sealed with Loctite when it is reinstalled, too! See the attached page.
