I have a Samsung DV328AEW/XAA Electric Dryer. It drys fine

Customer Question

I have a Samsung DV328AEW/XAA Electric Dryer. It drys fine but will not shut off. The timer will go down to the one minute mark (cool down) and just continue to run and with the heating element continuing to product heat.

Hello and thanks for using this service, if you have been waiting do not worry or get upset I am just one of the techs on here and I try to get to as many customers as I can and I just picked up your question now. Please give me time to respond sometimes I get your replies late so there may be a delay in my response.

Run it one cycle with the vent disconnected and if it shuts off normal clean the vent out and it should work fine, this is common on that unit.

I had actually tried that a few days ago but I tried it again and had the same results. It get down to one minute and just continues to dry with warm air coming out of the discharge.

Then you either have a bad thermister or something is wrong with the main computer as it is not reading correctly. The main boards do go bad for this issue a lot.
