Customer Question

I have a Maytag Neptune washer Model MAW4000AWW that seems to have a timer problem as it won't move through the cycle. If I advance it manually, sometimes I can see it move by itself for a little bit but then sticks again. Is it a timer or maybe something else causing the timer not to be energized?

If the timer will advance at all, the timer itself is not the problem. The motor control board down below the tub is actually the part that sends power to the timer motor to tell it when to advance so the motor control board would need to be replaced if the timer isn't advancing most of the time.
