Have a whirlpool refrig mod gi5svaxlq0 no ice. Ice maker ok. What is the black thing pluged on front with a yellow wire going to control pcb j2 pin#3 schematic reads pin#3 is ac5 z1 whats it for are do. Won't harvest power coming to ice maker t/stat in I/m ok motor ok something stopping it from working p/c board?

You're complicating things. Let's start over. If you open the door first, look at the red light to the right, is it flashing 2 times and then pausing over and over? If you shut the flap on the left side and make a clear path from right to left, does the light turn solid?

OK, now look inside the icemaker itself, is there any ice or water in the icemaker mold? There are white fingers that push the ice out of the icemaker mold, what direction are they facing? Are they above the horizon or below? Pointing forward or backwards?

It not complicatiny you're not on the right refrig no red light that a in door ice only on sxs this is a french door bottom freezer ref with ice maker in top look at model#

If you have power to the ice maker AND it has frozen water in the mold then the mold thermostat is not working telling the board the water is 12 degrees or lower - start harvest.
