Does my dryer have a heating element to replace and how do i take apart dryer to check?
Expert:  Kevin Hogue replied 1 year ago.

Most likely behind the front cover--gas valve solenoid (sometimes called a coil)

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
how do i take it apart ? Is that why I have no heat?
Expert:  Kevin Hogue replied 1 year ago.

You will find two black solenoids atop of the gas valve. Normally one will be two pin and the other three pin. They run $30 locally and $8 online. There will be a bracket that holds them fast that can be removed with two screws.

There are two other components that may go bad are the flame switch and igniter. Most times it is the solenoids that go first.

If you open the dryer door and remove the screws around the edge including the door screws the front will pop off (held by only the screws at this point)

Correction held by the clips it will pop off
