most likely its a bad a board, can you see any kind of burned area where the wire that was melted plugged into the board, most likely it was the component on the board failing / overheating which caused the plug to melt in the first place and then it just burned out this time. you could test that by verifying if power is coming out of that connection or not where the burned plug was located. If not its time to replace that board.
