The wiring scheme that you suggested activates the dryer's motor but now the burner does not activate. There is no voltage present when I place the leads of the voltmeter on the red and white wire connections which lead to the igniter. Please advise

OK I checked your diagram again...Can you remove the Small Blue jumper from the RED wire and somehow connect it to the WHITE wire and then try it leave it on the #1 terminal though.
