Do you run a lot of water through the unit or has it sat a long time?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Use several times a day.
Expert:  Appliance Guru replied 1 year ago.

Ok then this is not likely from the unit at all, are you on city or well water?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Has to be in the unit, faucet water is fine.

Could smell from foods in frigerator pass through the plastic tubing insidethe refer?
Expert:  Appliance Guru replied 1 year ago.

There is nothing inside the unit to go bad. The lines are all plastic in the unit and do not cause an odor. I have received this complaint when out on calls and find the line to the unit is bad or the water out of it tastes funny. Basically I would be lying to you if I said you could do something about it on the refrigerator itself as the lines are mostly sealed in the wall liner and there is no way to clean them, they do not go bad or just smell out of the blue, trust me check the water to the unit. The line to it may have stuff in it or may smell bad. I would disconnect the line from the unit and see. I have never heard of a transfer of smell all the way through the plastic lines unless you have something that smells really bad, but doubtful.

We had some vegetables in a bin go bad. When cleaning the bin noticed the plastic lines behind the bin. Theorized the smell from the spoiled vegetables permeated the plastic lines.

Bad taste started after cleaning the bin.

Ok did you do anything to the tank behind the bin?
